Colourful wildflower artificial hanging baskets with trailing ivy (pair, 25cm)

Description

A pair of these wildflower baskets can make a plain frontage feel much more welcoming. Primrose combines bright yellow, purple and red flower heads with smaller details and trailing ivy, creating a cheerful mix that is closer to an informal garden display than a single-colour planting scheme. The two matching baskets are especially useful when you want to dress either side of a doorway or repeat the same colours along a fence.

Two baskets in the wildflower design are supplied. The flowers arrive arranged in their baskets, so you do not need to buy separate bunches or build the display yourself. The woven rattan containers remain part of the finished look, with leafy stems dropping below the rim to soften their outline.

A lively mix with room for the basket to show

The appeal here is the combination of shapes as well as colours. Broad daisy-like heads sit alongside smaller blooms, while varied green foliage gives the eye somewhere to rest between the brighter flowers. The ivy adds a downward line, which works nicely against brickwork, painted fencing or a simple cream wall.

The hand-assembled arrangements have polyester petals. These are intended to give an immediate decorative effect: there is no growing-in period and no need to wait for different flowers to come into bloom together. A gentle rearrangement after unpacking will help any compressed leaves settle into a more natural position.

The useful measurements

Each basket is approximately 25cm in diameter. The supplied galvanised iron hanging chain is about 30cm long, and the overall dimensions are approximately 25cm across by 50cm high. Allow some space around the foliage rather than fitting the container tightly into a corner.

• Two matching wildflower arrangements
• Approximately 25cm rattan baskets
• Trailing ivy and mixed green foliage
• Approximately 30cm galvanised iron chains
• Pre-arranged artificial flowers with polyester petals

Check that your brackets and fixings are suitable for the intended position. The chain is included; the decorative wall brackets shown in the main photograph should not be assumed to be supplied.

What owners of the wildflower baskets say

One five-star reviewer bought the same wildflower pair again after using an earlier set outside for two to three years. They were particularly pleased with how well the colours had held up on a sunny, south-facing wall. That is an individual experience rather than a guarantee, but it is useful feedback from someone who had lived with the display for more than a few weeks.

A four-star buyer of the wildflower pair liked their appearance from a few feet away and appreciated the lack of assembly, while pointing out that the lightweight baskets moved noticeably in the wind. A more recent three-star review was less impressed with the fullness and felt the flowers looked too artificial. These contrasting comments are a good reason to look closely at the customer photograph and check the 25cm basket measurement before choosing your position.

Colour without the watering routine

UV-treated, weather-resistant materials make these baskets suitable for outdoor decoration without the daily care of living plants. That does not mean they never need attention: occasional dusting and checking the hanging points will help keep the display tidy. The baskets can also be taken down and stored over winter.

Other flower designs and a single-basket pack are available if you are planning a different arrangement.
