Yaheetech snow-flocked fir Christmas tree with warm white lights (6ft)

Description

White flocking gives this Yaheetech fir a distinctly snowy look, with warm lights shining through the foliage from top to bottom. It is a 6ft tree with a full outline, suited to a room where the tree will be a main feature of the Christmas decorations. The pale branches make an attractive setting for both subtle metallic ornaments and much bolder colours.

A generous covering of snow

There are 780 PVC branch tips with a flocked finish, arranged around a tapered fir shape. The assembled dimensions are approximately 183cm high and 104cm across. Green shows through the white, giving the foliage some contrast and helping the individual branches remain visible when the lights are on.

This is a good tree for a simple decorating scheme because the finish already provides plenty of interest. A few larger baubles, a ribbon and a topper may be all you want. Clear or silver ornaments keep the look wintry, while red brings a warmer, more traditional contrast. Leave some snowy tips uncovered so the tree's texture remains part of the display.

Light and structure together

The 250 warm white LEDs offer eight lighting modes. Their gentle colour works well against the bright flocking, especially in an evening room with lower lighting. They are fitted to the branches, saving the separate job of winding lights around a tree after it has been assembled.

Hinged branches open from the trunk, and the sections detach for storage. A folding metal base supports the approximately 7.85kg tree. The hinges handle the main branch positions, while you arrange the smaller shoots to complete the outline. Give the lower sections enough space to open properly rather than pressing them against furniture.

The practical side of a flocked tree

Owners of the 6ft version are enthusiastic about the snowy appearance, but consistently mention the mess during set-up. The white flocking can fall quite freely as the tree is unpacked and shaped. An easy-clean floor or protective sheet makes this stage simpler, and it is sensible to tidy up before adding a fabric skirt or placing presents beneath the branches.

Once positioned and decorated, the tree is handled much less, so most of that work is concentrated at the start and end of the season. Move the branches gently and avoid dragging the foliage across rugs or upholstery while carrying the sections. When packing away, protect the snowy tips from being crushed under other boxes.

This model can be used indoors or in a sheltered outdoor position, following the supplied instructions for the tree and its electrical connections. Sheltered use does not mean leaving it exposed to unrestricted winter weather. Other sizes and lighting options are available; this is the 6ft green-and-white version with warm white lights, ready for your own ornaments and finishing touches.
