Description

These little trees are made for the spots that are awkward to reach with a mains cable. Place a pair beside the front door, add them to two sturdy planters or use them to mark the beginning of a garden path. Green foliage, red berries, pale leaves and golden bells give them a cheerful Christmas look before the lights even come on.

The set contains two trees with ground stakes and 80 LEDs across the pair. Each tree uses three AA batteries, so you will need six in total; batteries are not included. The overall height is approximately 76cm, including the support, and the foliage itself sits above the stake.

Choose a glow to suit the evening

The lights offer white and multicolour effects, with eight modes to choose from. You can keep the display calm or add a little movement, matching it to the rest of your outdoor decorations. With the lights already arranged on the branches, there is no separate string to wind through the greenery.

A six-hour-on, eighteen-hour-off timer helps make the display part of your daily routine. Switch it on at the time you want the evening lights to begin, following the supplied controls. Customers appreciate being able to choose a setting and then leave the timer to repeat it.

Decorated, with space for your own touches

The mixture of berries, bells and softer-looking leaves gives the trees more detail than a plain miniature fir. You can adjust the branches and decorations after unpacking to make the shape look less compressed. A little space between the ornaments lets the lighting show through.

Owners have enjoyed the trees beside doors and in outdoor displays, with several praising the cheerful effect once illuminated. One customer liked being able to alter the trimmings. If you want to add a ribbon or a few extra ornaments, keep them light and suitable for the weather; additional decorations are separate.

Fit them into the garden carefully

The metal stakes let you position the trees in suitable ground or secure them within a filled planter. The trees lift off their stakes, which makes bringing them in convenient, but choose a position where they will remain secure. Containers shown in display photographs are not supplied.

These are compact accents, rather than tall entrance trees: allow for part of the overall height to be taken up by the stake. Check both battery compartments and test the lights before final placement, as a few buyers have reported damaged contacts on arrival. Once everything is working, settle the supports firmly, shape the foliage and enjoy an outdoor display without a trailing mains lead.
