Description
The blue ceramic pot is a lovely part of this Oairse bonsai, bringing a little colour beneath the green foliage. Its rectangular shape and small raised feet give the arrangement a traditional feel, while the curved trunk keeps the tree from looking stiff or overly symmetrical. Pebbles around the base add another small detail to enjoy.
At approximately 23cm high, this is a compact bonsai for a table, desk or shelf. It has enough branching detail to look interesting at eye level, but it will not dominate a small piece of furniture. The green leaves and blue container are an easy combination to bring into a room.
A pot worth leaving on show
There is no need to conceal the container inside another planter. The blue finish is designed to be part of the display, and looks particularly good against warm wood or a pale painted surface. A little clear space in front of the pot lets you appreciate its shape as well as the tree above it.
The natural-looking pebble covering helps tie the textured trunk to the ceramic base. Rather than a plain green plant sitting in an ordinary nursery pot, you have a small, complete decorative arrangement with several different surfaces and colours.
Making a small display feel finished
This bonsai would sit nicely at the end of a row of books or beside a low dish on a hallway table. The blue pot can pick up a similar colour in a print, cushion or piece of pottery elsewhere in the room. You do not need an exact match; even a small repeated touch of blue can make the display feel considered.
On a desk, position it a little beyond your working area so the canopy stays clear of cables and stationery. It also makes a pleasant accent on a bathroom shelf, where an artificial tree can provide greenery without depending on the available daylight.
What the finished tree offers
Customers have liked its tabletop size and the quality of the completed arrangement. The tree uses plastic foliage, with the pot and pebble dressing adding much of its decorative appeal. It is intended to be enjoyed as an easy indoor ornament, with no watering or careful pruning needed to preserve the shape.
After unpacking, check that the leaves sit comfortably around the branches and separate any clusters that have pressed together. Small adjustments are usually enough to show the silhouette clearly; avoid pulling hard on the trunk or foliage.
Care for the leaves and ceramic base
Brush dust lightly from the canopy and use a soft cloth around the pot. Lift the whole arrangement from its container when moving it between surfaces, especially as ceramic needs a little more care than a lightweight plastic planter. Keep the base steady and dry, then enjoy the green-and-blue combination throughout the year.
