This Best Artificial pair combines full boxwood-style foliage with bright white LEDs, giving your entrance a decorative glow without a cable running back to the house. The balls arrive fully assembled, so the main decisions are where to hang them and which lighting effect you prefer.

Green spheres with a white sparkle

Each ball is approximately 36cm across and carries 30 white LEDs. The lights are distributed through the green foliage, allowing the rounded plant shape to remain the main feature in daylight. At night, the small points of light pick out the surface and make the display feel more inviting.

This is bright white lighting rather than a warm amber glow. It suits crisp paintwork, pale stone and modern entrance fittings particularly well, although the traditional boxwood form is equally comfortable on an older porch. The set contains two matching balls for a balanced display.

Choose the timing and effect

There are eight lighting functions, giving you a choice of effects to suit the setting. A built-in timer can run the lights for six hours followed by eighteen hours off, so you do not have to remember to switch both balls on and off every evening. Set the cycle at the time you want the display to begin.

Each ball needs three AA batteries, which are not included. Battery power is useful where a socket is inconvenient or where a shaded position would not suit solar lights. Keep the battery compartments accessible when arranging the display so changing batteries remains straightforward.

Ready-assembled with hanging chains

The supplied galvanised triple chains measure approximately 38cm. Allow for the chain length as well as the diameter of the ball when choosing brackets and hanging height. Once unpacked, gently tidy any compressed foliage and check the chain connections before lifting the decoration into place.

Turn the ball until the box sits discreetly within the display, while still leaving it reachable; there is no need to cut or alter the framework.
