Warm orange begonia artificial hanging basket for autumn colour (25cm)

Description

Orange flowers can give a porch a wonderfully warm lift, especially beside timber, terracotta and the deeper colours of autumn. This INQCMY hanging basket uses trailing faux begonias to create that effect, with clusters of orange petals falling around dark green leaves. The flowers continue below the basket, so there is colour at eye level as well as around the top.

The selected arrangement is the orange version, supplied as one basket kit. It would make a cheerful seasonal feature near the front door or above a sheltered seating area. You need not pack it away when autumn ends, either: the warm colour can sit happily among summer planting or bring a little brightness to a conservatory.

A compact basket with trailing flowers

A coconut-fibre-lined hanging basket and chain are included, together with four artificial begonia flower sections. The container measures approximately 25cm across and 17cm deep. Once arranged, the display measures around 40cm wide and 55cm high, so those longer flower stems provide much of the finished shape.

The chain is approximately 35cm long. Before choosing a hanging point, allow space for the flowers underneath as well as the basket itself. This is a relatively light arrangement, weighing about 454g; use a secure support and consider how freely it may move where you intend to put it.

A small arranging project

This is supplied for assembly rather than as a fully finished basket. The flower sections need to be positioned in the basket and spread to create an even display. Reviews suggest that people have quite different experiences with this part: some find it straightforward, while others spend longer securing the sections and disguising gaps.

Take your time with the stems and handle the flower heads gently. One reviewer found that petals could come away during arranging. Looking at the basket from below, as you will when it is hanging, can help you spot an empty patch that is less obvious on a table. The amount of fullness you achieve will depend partly on how the supplied sections are distributed.

Orange in a real outdoor setting

The customer gallery photograph comes from a five-star buyer of the orange option. Their basket hangs beneath a timber deck roof, where the flowers stand out against the surrounding greenery. They praised the lifelike effect and reported that the baskets had coped well with storms. Another orange-option buyer enjoyed the full appearance after assembly, although they noticed an initial smell on unpacking.

A UK purchaser felt the basket was smaller than expected. The 25cm container makes this a compact display, so check the scale against your doorway or bracket before ordering. When arranging the flower sections, spread them evenly around the rim and look at the basket from its normal viewing position to spot any gaps.

Colour without watering

The silk-style flowers are designed for indoor and outdoor display, with a UV-resistant finish. Long-term results will still depend on exposure, so a sheltered place is a practical choice. No lights are included and there is no need for watering, feeding or replacing compost. An occasional gentle clean and a check that the stems and chain remain secure will help the arrangement look cared for.

Other colours are available if you prefer a different seasonal palette.
