Bright mixed violet artificial hanging basket (30cm)

Description

A bright front-door basket can make coming home feel a little nicer. This Bo Wawa design brings together purple, yellow, red, deep pink and white artificial violets in a generous-looking mix, with small green leaves threaded between the flowers. There is plenty of contrast in the colours, so the display stands out against brickwork, a painted door or a dark timber fence.

One large basket is supplied, measuring approximately 30cm across. Its rounded metal frame and brown coconut-fibre liner keep the base fairly simple, leaving the flowers to do the talking. The fine dark markings on the petals add detail, while the different heights of the sprays help break up the outline.

A little arranging before you hang it

The basket comes with separate flowers to insert yourself, along with its liner, hanging chain and a green half-ball base. It is worth knowing this before it arrives: the product photographs show an assembled arrangement. Several customers expected a basket they could hang immediately, although many were pleased with the result once they had put it together.

You can use that freedom to suit the position you have in mind. For a basket viewed mainly from a path or window, bring some of the colourful flowers towards that side. If it will be seen from all around, turn it as you work and distribute the sprays evenly. Leave a few stems sitting slightly higher than the rest for a softer outline, then check that the insert and flowers feel secure before lifting it onto a suitable bracket.

What the measurements mean

The 30cm measurement is the basket diameter, rather than the full width of the flowers. The overall hanging length is around 60cm. The flower spread will vary with your arrangement, so allow extra room around the rim and between the basket and the wall.

One filled basket is supplied. Larger packs and smaller baskets are also available if you need a different quantity or scale. This version has no lights, batteries or solar panel, so it is easy to position without making space for a charger or checking how much sunlight reaches the flowers.

How it looks in customers’ gardens

Buyers repeatedly mention the strong colours and the finished appearance at normal viewing distance. One five-star reviewer of the large basket found assembly easy and shared photographs of it beside a front door. They also made a useful distinction: the artificial materials are apparent close up, while the basket looks much more convincing from farther away.

Another customer reported that the colours still looked good after a winter outside, but was waiting to see how they fared in prolonged summer sunshine. That is encouraging experience rather than a promise of permanent colour. A more critical review questioned how the flowers would handle heavy rain, despite liking the basket and liner.

Choose a position with a little shelter

The basket is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. For an exposed spot, pay particular attention to securing the lightweight insert: a four-star buyer added extra restraint because of wind. Another noticed an odour on unpacking, which may matter if you plan to use the basket indoors. Somewhere sheltered, where you can enjoy the colours from a few steps back, would make a thoughtful home for this lively display.
