Soft pompom flowers with plenty of texture

These white chrysanthemums have the rounded, tightly layered heads that make pompom flowers so appealing. The petals curl and overlap around a gently creamy centre, creating a textured ball of blossom above the darker green leaves. They bring a quieter kind of detail to a display: from across the room you see the rounded shapes, and closer up you notice the individual petals.

There are six separate stems in the pack, each with a flower head approximately 10.2cm across. The complete stems are around 56cm long. This gives you a useful amount of height for an everyday vase while keeping the heads small enough to combine comfortably with other flowers or foliage.

Use the rounded heads to give your arrangement shape

For a simple display, group the six stems loosely and turn the leaves so they sit around the outside. Let a couple of flower heads rise slightly above the others instead of forming a straight row. Their ball-like shape makes this easy to judge: you can see the outline of the arrangement developing as each stem goes in.

White chrysanthemums also work well between larger blooms, filling gaps without introducing another strong colour. Add a few to a seasonal arrangement of foliage, or use them with roses for a softer, more traditional shape. If you are making several small table decorations, splitting the six stems into pairs creates a repeated detail across the room.

Settle the flowers after unpacking

The heads are made from silk-style fabric, with plastic-covered steel wire inside the stems. The stems can be shaped to change their angle or shortened with suitable cutting tools. A customer specifically found pliers useful for bringing them down to the required length. Decide on your container first so you do not remove more stem than you need.

Some gentle reshaping may be needed after delivery, especially around the outer petals. Support each head as you ease the layers apart. Customers who chose the white flowers have praised their appearance and construction, although one found the heads smaller than expected. Checking the roughly 10cm diameter against your planned display will give you a better sense of their scale.

A flexible flower for everyday and occasion displays

These chrysanthemums can be used for indoor and outdoor decoration, including table arrangements, wreath projects and memorial flowers. For a lasting display, choose a sheltered position and secure the stems appropriately for the container. They need no watering, feeding or removal of faded blooms, so the shape stays consistent between occasions.
