A lit Christmas tree for a small space

At just 40cm across, this COSTWAY pencil tree can bring Christmas into a corner that would not comfortably take a broad tree. The 5ft height gives it a proper tree-like presence while keeping the overall display manageable. It is a useful choice for a smaller living room, a bedroom or a second festive spot elsewhere in the house.

The 150 warm white LEDs are already fitted, so there is no separate string to wrap around the branches before decorating. Their soft colour works with traditional reds and golds, natural wood ornaments or a simpler collection of white and silver pieces. You can keep the finishing touches as quiet or colourful as you like.

320 tips to shape into place

The green artificial foliage is made from PVC and has 320 branch tips. Open them out after assembly, working around each layer so they face in different directions. Take particular care where the sections meet, moving the nearby foliage to help the outline flow from one part of the tree to the next.

A buyer of the 150cm version praised its fit in a small living room and the balance of branches and lights once it was set up. Other feedback suggests that the lighting can look less dense than expected, so this is a gentle pre-lit display rather than a wall of sparkle. A thoughtful arrangement of decorations can make the most of the glow.

A small collection can be enough

This narrow shape lends itself to small baubles and lightweight ornaments. Try grouping a few favourite pieces at different heights, leaving some branches clear so the greenery is still visible. A slim ribbon winding loosely through the tree can connect the colours without adding much bulk.

Before dressing it, connect the sections and test all of the lights. That leaves the centre accessible if a connection needs attention and lets you see how the illumination is distributed. Keep the cable comfortably routed to the socket, away from chair legs and the route through the room.

A folding stand and a manageable size

The crossed metal base uses three securing screws and has protective foot pads. Assemble it on a level surface, seat the trunk correctly and check the tree is steady before hanging ornaments. The tree weighs approximately 2kg, so it is comparatively manageable to position while still needing a stable place to stand.

This version measures approximately 150cm high; allow extra clearance if you plan to add a topper. It is intended for indoor display, with lights and the stand included but baubles and other decorations separate. At the end of the season, remove your additions, disconnect the sections as directed and fold the foliage carefully for storage. A taller size is also available in the same design.
