Trailing pink and white artificial hanging basket with solar lights (21.5cm)

Description

This Taylor & Brown hanging basket has two quite different looks to enjoy: soft pink and white flowers during the day, then little warm lights dotted through the trailing greenery after dark. The long stems fall below a brown rattan-effect container, making it an appealing choice for a garden wall or a porch with enough room for a generous drop.

One basket is supplied, complete with its hanging chain and solar lighting. The flowers are artificial, so the display stays colourful without watering, deadheading or replacing tired bedding plants. Its shape is more of a loose cascade than a round ball of flowers, with sections of the woven-effect pot left visible.

Flowers by day, a gentle glow at night

The basket contains 80 warm white LEDs arranged on eight strands, with ten lights on each strand. These run among the flowers and foliage to add small points of light rather than a single bright lamp. If you enjoy sitting outside in the evening, it is an easy way to bring a little interest to the wall above a bench or patio seating area.

A built-in solar panel charges the rechargeable battery during daylight. The lights switch on at dusk and off at dawn automatically, with an on/off switch for manual control. Choose the hanging position with the solar panel in mind: it needs access to daylight to charge, even if the flowers themselves would look lovely in a shady corner. There is no mains cable to route back to the house.

Allow room for the trailing stems

The dimensions are approximately 21.5cm across and 114cm high overall. That long overall drop is the measurement to check before choosing a bracket. Make sure the flowers will clear doors, paths and anything mounted on the wall below.

One five-star buyer tucked some of the stems back because they were covering a doorbell, and liked the shorter arrangement. That is a useful example of how the loose trailing shape can be adjusted to suit the space. Spend a moment spreading the foliage when it arrives and turn the basket to find its best side.

What customers like, and what to bear in mind

Several reviewers are pleased with the night-time effect, describing the lighting as attractive or subtle. Positive comments also mention the colour and the finished appearance. Not everyone finds it equally full, though: one four-star review describes gaps that needed careful positioning, and another buyer felt there were too few flower stems. It is worth looking at the customer photograph as well as the main product image when deciding whether this more open arrangement suits you.

A sheltered spot is a sensible choice

Choose a sheltered outdoor position for the basket and follow the care instructions supplied with it. A customer reports that the enclosed leaflet recommends storing it for winter and avoiding inclement weather. A covered porch or protected spot is therefore a better home for this decorative display than a fully exposed corner of the garden.
