Foteewl realistic Norfolk pine outdoor Christmas tree in a pot (4ft)

Description

This Norfolk pine has a softer character than a tightly packed traditional Christmas tree. Its slender branches reach out in relaxed layers, with fine green needles that drape gently rather than forming a solid cone. It is a lovely choice when you want greenery to be part of the decoration, instead of disappearing beneath a heavy covering of baubles.

The Foteewl tree stands approximately 4ft, or 122cm, high and spreads to around 51cm. It arrives in a simple black pot, ready to place beside a porch door or use inside as a quiet festive accent. There are no built-in lights or ornaments.

A natural-looking tree with room to breathe

The plastic foliage is designed to reproduce the feel and movement of Norfolk pine branches. The spaces between the layers are part of its appeal: you can see the outline of each spray, and a small decoration has room to hang without resting on a thick mass of needles.

Customers particularly like the soft foliage, realistic green colour and way the branches hang. One owner found that very little shaping was needed, while another enjoyed the tree with a simple string of fairy lights. It is a good style for a restrained display where texture matters more than a perfectly dense outline.

Keep ornaments light

Fine branches suit small, lightweight decorations. Felt shapes, paper ornaments, tiny baubles or a narrow ribbon can bring in colour without pulling the tips down. A customer specifically recommended lighter ornaments after finding the branches similar to a real, soft-needled pine.

You could also leave the tree completely plain, particularly if it stands beside a decorated wreath or a planter filled with seasonal colour. The narrow footprint makes it easier to place than a broad tree of the same height, although you should still leave space for the outer sprays so they are not pressed against a wall.

A simple pot to dress your way

The included black pot is approximately 15cm wide and 13cm high. It provides a discreet base, or can sit within a separate ornamental container if you want a different finish. A customer used a crock indoors, while the clean black pot also works well with a modern entrance.

The foliage is UV-protected and intended for indoor and outdoor decoration. Choose a level position, secure the small base appropriately and avoid leaving the tree where it obstructs a doorway. If you add lights outdoors, choose a suitable set and follow its connection instructions. After unpacking, gently open any compressed branches and turn the tree until its most pleasing side faces the approach to your home. No watering, pruning or seasonal needle clearing is needed.
