A little woodland Christmas

Real pinecones, red berries and snowy branch tips give this Christow tree a festive character before a single bauble goes on. At 5ft tall and approximately 39cm across, it is a particularly slender choice for a smaller room. You get a recognisable Christmas tree shape without having to move half the furniture to make it fit.

The decorations are already woven into the design: fifteen pinecones and fifteen clusters of artificial berries sit among the green foliage. Their earthy brown and bright red colours bring warmth to the snowy finish. Leave the tree fairly simple for a woodland look, or use those colours as the starting point for your own Christmas scheme.

A mixture of foliage textures

The branches combine soft PVC needles with moulded PE foliage. Light and grass-green shades give the greenery some depth, while green stems help it blend together. Faux snow is sprayed onto the tips, creating a dusted effect rather than turning the whole tree white.

Its branches arrive attached and may look compressed straight out of the box. Pull them gently into position and open out the smaller tips to give the tree its intended shape. Look at it from the doorway as well as close up: that often reveals a gap that is easy to disguise simply by moving a nearby branch.

Enough detail to keep decorating simple

Owners of the 5ft version have enjoyed its appearance in smaller spaces and found it easy to assemble. A few extra baubles or bows can finish the display, but the cones and berries already provide plenty to look at. It is a useful option when you enjoy the ritual of putting up a tree but would rather keep the decorating manageable.

A short run of warm lights, small wooden ornaments or narrow red ribbon would work well here. Choose lightweight pieces and space them around the tree so they do not obscure every berry cluster. The tree is unlit: any fairy lights, baubles or decorative basket shown in a customer display are separate finishing touches.

Setting up this 5ft version

The pole sections slot together and the green plastic stand has a clip-together construction, with no bolts or screws required for that base. Instructions are included. Position the assembled tree on a flat surface before dressing it, and leave clearance around the branches so the narrow shape does not become caught against furniture.

The overall height is approximately 150cm. It is best treated as a neat indoor tree rather than a broad statement fir, with smaller decorations keeping its proportions balanced. Taller versions are also available. After the season, ease the branches back towards the trunk and pack the cones and berries carefully so they are not crushed in storage.
