Christow frosted spruce pencil Christmas tree (6ft)

Description

A snowy tree for a narrow corner

A Christmas tree need not spread halfway across the living room to feel like the centre of the celebrations. This Christow pencil tree rises to 6ft while keeping its branches within an approximately 45cm diameter. That tall, slender outline is particularly useful beside a bookcase, at the end of a hallway or in the little corner that remains once everyone has found somewhere to sit.

The spruce-style foliage has light and grass-green tones, with a frosted finish across the tips. It gives the tree a wintry softness while leaving plenty of green showing through. There are no fitted lights, so you can choose the glow and arrangement that suit your own decorations.

Branches worth taking time over

The medium-length tips vary in thickness and length, helping the outline look less uniform once opened. Flexible branches are already attached to the sections, so there is no separate collection of branches to sort into rows. Slot the poles together, then gently bring each branch out from the centre and spread the smaller tips.

Several owners of the 6ft tree describe a pleasantly bushy result after shaping, with straightforward assembly. Around fifteen minutes spent arranging the foliage was enough for some, although it is sensible to work at your own pace. Turn the tree as you go so the side facing into the room looks as considered as the front.

Keep the decorations in proportion

Small baubles, little bells and narrow ribbon suit this compact shape beautifully. One owner found that more compact ornaments hung better between the closely spaced branches, a useful thought if you are moving from a broad tree with large decorations. A few treasured pieces can be given space to stand out rather than disappearing into a crowded display.

Warm white lights would make the frosting feel gentle and traditional; cool white could bring out a more icy effect. Lights, baubles and a decorative basket or tree skirt are additions of your own. The tree itself provides the foliage and stand, ready for you to decide how much embellishment it needs.

A simple base and manageable storage

A green plastic stand clips together without tools and blends into the bottom of the tree. Set it on a level surface, seat the pole firmly and check the finished position before adding decorations. The overall height is approximately 180cm, so allow extra room for a star or other topper.

When Christmas is over, remove your decorations and fold the flexible branches back carefully before separating the poles. Keep the protective caps and sturdy box for storage if practical. Other heights are available in this design, but this version is the 6ft frosted spruce tree.
