Some evenings call for a quiet warm glow; others suit a little more colour. This Ronipic tree gives you both, with 360 fitted LEDs offering warm white and multicoloured lighting. You can change the atmosphere without taking the decorations down or weaving another set of lights through the branches.

This is the 7.5ft version, approximately 229cm high with an 83cm spread. Its proportions are slimmer than a broad traditional tree, while still giving it a substantial presence in a taller room. Measure both the ceiling clearance and the available floor space, especially if you intend to add a large star or angel at the top.

Hinged branches, shaped by you

The green foliage is made from PVC, with branches that unfold from the central sections. That helps with the first stage of assembly, but opening the individual tips is still part of getting the tree ready. Work carefully around each layer so the foliage fills the outline rather than lying in flat rows.

Owners of the selected 229cm green version have found it easy to put together and liked the choice of light settings. Feedback also suggests allowing time for shaping: it is not a case of opening the box and immediately achieving a finished tree. Decorating can help soften remaining gaps, but start by arranging the greenery itself.

Give your decorations room to breathe

A tall tree is a good home for a collection built up over the years. Hang a few larger favourites lower down, then use smaller pieces as you move towards the top. Rather than covering every tip, leave some green spaces so that individual baubles and lights remain distinct.

The warm white option would work well with gold, wood or traditional reds. Switch to the coloured lights when you want a more playful display, perhaps with the handmade decorations that always come out of the Christmas box. Buyers have described bright lighting, so try the settings in the room after dark before deciding on the final effect.

Set up carefully, pack away comfortably

A metal stand is included to support the tree. Fit the sections securely, identify the light connectors and check the illumination before hanging ornaments. Keep the cable clear of foot traffic, and distribute heavier decorations sensibly rather than loading one side of the tree.

Although its narrow shape helps it fit into a room, this is still a tall indoor display and deserves a stable, level position. The sections come apart again for storage. Remove ornaments first, disconnect the lighting as instructed and fold the branches in without trapping the wires.
