Description

Red poinsettias bring a wonderfully traditional Christmas colour into a tree, and this generous set gives you enough flowers to repeat the effect throughout the branches. Each bloom has layered pointed petals and a glitter finish that catches the light. Against green foliage the red looks bold; against a snowy tree it becomes an especially cheerful focal point.

There are 24 flower heads, each approximately 14cm across, together with 24 separate stems and 24 metal clips. You can use the flowers as little picks or attach them close to a branch, choosing the fixing that works best for the spot you want to decorate.

Choose the position, then the fixing

The separate stems are approximately 18cm long and are useful for reaching into a tree or adding the flowers to a dry arrangement. Clips suit more compact placements around the edges of a wreath or on finer tree branches. Fit each flower securely before putting it into its final position.

One customer loved the effect on their tree but found the clips small for thicker branches and needed to refit some heads to the stems. Take a moment to check the fit as you work, rather than assuming every fixing will grip every branch. The choice of two attachment methods is helpful here.

A coordinated tree without complicated arranging

Start with a few flowers at eye level, then space the others above and below them. Turning the heads slightly in different directions gives a softer effect than arranging them all face-on in straight rows. Leave room for favourite ornaments between the blooms; the generous pack means you can be selective about where you use them.

Customers praise the strong colour and the way these flowers finish a Christmas tree or wreath. You could reserve several for a matching mantel garland, keeping the room coordinated without making every decoration identical. A simple red ribbon is enough to link the displays together; extra flowers, ribbon and foliage are not included.

Unpack, shape and store with care

The flowers are made from polyethylene and plastic with a glitter coating. They arrive boxed, and the petals may need gentle arranging after unpacking. Separate each bloom carefully before shaping it, supporting the centre rather than tugging at the tips. Some customers have found petals compressed in the packaging, so allow time for this finishing step.

They are suitable for indoor and outdoor decorative use, although a sheltered position will be kinder to the glitter finish. Handle them over a surface that is easy to clean, and keep loose glitter away from food. After Christmas, return the flowers to a roomy box with the stems laid separately so the petal shapes are protected.
