Description
Warm terracotta flowers for a jacket pocket
This Ling's Moment pocket boutonniere brings orange and terracotta roses together with small berry details and greenery. Instead of fastening a flower directly to the lapel, the arrangement is supported by a card that slips into a jacket's breast pocket. It gives the outfit a broad floral accent with a clean, contained base.
One finished pocket flower is supplied. The arrangement measures approximately 15cm wide and 13cm high, so it is more substantial across the jacket than a narrow single-rose buttonhole. The warm colour palette works particularly well with autumn weddings, cream accessories, brown or navy suits and natural textures.
A pocket fitting with a flexible flower position
The design includes a card insert and a round hook-and-loop attachment for the floral section. This allows the flowers to be arranged horizontally or vertically, depending on the look you prefer and the shape of the jacket. Try both orientations while wearing the suit, since the lapel and pocket position will affect how the flowers sit.
Check the pocket before the wedding. Some suit pockets are temporarily stitched closed, and the insert needs a suitable opening to sit in. Compare the floral width with the jacket rather than assuming every breast pocket will give the same result. The aim is for the flowers to appear above the pocket with the support concealed.
A different look from a traditional buttonhole
The clustered roses create a fuller area of colour, making the piece especially useful if the groom's flowers are intended to stand out from simpler attendants' buttonholes. You could keep the rest of the accessories plain and allow the pocket flowers to become the main decorative detail on the jacket.
A customer chose this style because her fiancé preferred to avoid pins in his suit and was pleased with the result. That is the practical appeal of the pocket design: it offers a way to wear wedding flowers using the pocket as support. The correct fit still matters, so test the insert and attachment before relying on it for the ceremony.
Prepare it with the suit accessories
Keep the boutonniere with the tie, cufflinks and other pieces that will be used on the day. Gently open the foliage and check that the berry sprays do not disappear behind the roses. Once you have found the preferred angle, photograph it so it can be put back in the same position after transport. Remove the whole accessory from the jacket before the suit is stored or cleaned. The artificial flowers can then be kept separately as a small reminder of the wedding's terracotta colour scheme.
