Description

A tall trunk and a spreading crown give this Zeeoze Phoenix palm a very different presence from a smaller houseplant. The 270cm version is a bold decorative tree for a garden terrace, a large room or an event space where you want an unmistakable tropical feature. It needs room to breathe, but in the right setting the silhouette can be wonderfully effective.

A high crown with twenty-one fronds

The trunk has a textured surface with artificial moss and bark detail, helping to break up the long vertical stem. At the top, twenty-one green fronds form the crown. PE leaves and bendable metal stems let you spread the foliage and change the way the tips fall.

The maximum stated height relies on some leaves remaining upright. When the crown is opened into a more relaxed, drooping shape, the highest point will be lower. One owner of this version measured a noticeably lower overall height after arranging the leaves downwards. Plan for both the upright height and the space needed around the crown rather than treating 270cm as a fixed finished measurement.

A tree that needs a secure setting

The black base pot contains an integrated concrete weight, and the trunk is reinforced internally. Even so, the height and spread mean that outdoor stability deserves attention. Place the original pot inside a suitably substantial planter and secure the whole arrangement, especially on a terrace that catches gusts. A weighted inner pot is not a substitute for anchoring a tall tree in an exposed position.

Assembly is required before shaping the crown. Position the base first, connect the sections carefully and then arrange the leaves. Check the surrounding space for overhead branches, gutters or indoor light fittings. This is not a palm to squeeze beneath a low ceiling or into the path of an opening door.

A strong outline, without plant care

The UV-resistant, weather-resistant construction is intended for indoor and outdoor use. It brings permanent greenery without watering, feeding or pruning. The textured trunk also makes a useful backdrop for lightweight decorative lights or seasonal ornaments, though none are included with the tree.

Customers' reactions to this size are mixed in useful ways. Several love its appearance on a garden terrace and find it convincing from normal viewing distance; others feel the plastic leaves are more obvious close up or need patient arrangement. It is best chosen for the overall tropical effect rather than the expectation of an indistinguishable living specimen. Dust or wipe the foliage as needed and keep the base secure.
