Description

A little greenery falling over the edge of a cupboard can change the feel of the whole corner. This AKORD trailing vine gives you that loose, leafy effect without another plant to water. Its heart-shaped leaves run along fine green stems, creating a long cascade that works particularly well against a pale wall or a simple wooden shelf.

A long vine with room to arrange it

The plant measures approximately 90cm long, with a spread of around 40cm when opened out. Those proportions make it useful where a small desktop plant would disappear: above a bookcase, beside a tall cabinet or dropping from a wall planter. You can keep the stems together for a narrow trail, or separate them to cover a wider area.

This is one artificial vine supplied without a pot. The fabric leaves have a softer finish than solid moulded foliage, while the plastic stems give the arrangement its structure. The green colouring is easy to combine with other foliage, so it can also fill a gap in an existing decorative display.

Give the stems a little attention

Take a few minutes to gently separate the strands after unpacking. Start near their base and work along each trail, freeing any overlapping leaves rather than pulling at the tips. Turning individual stems in slightly different directions helps avoid a flat, pressed-together appearance.

Customers often mention how much fuller the vine looks once spread out. Several have used it above head height, where the long stems soften the edges of cupboards and window surrounds. It is a decorative imitation rather than a close-up botanical replica; viewed from across the room, its overall shape does much of the work.

Use a planter you already love

An empty wall pot, a spare ceramic planter or a narrow decorative container can all give this vine a home. Secure the stem base inside your chosen container so the trailing weight cannot pull it forwards. There is no built-in hanging hook, and neither a planter nor mounting hardware is included.

The foliage can be used indoors or in an outdoor decorative arrangement. Choose its position with care, particularly where wind could tangle the lightweight trails. If you mix it with flowers, let a few green strands extend beyond the blooms to create a softer edge.

Simple ongoing care

No watering, feeding or pruning is needed. Light dusting will keep the leaves looking fresh. Some customers notice an initial plastic smell, so unpack it in a ventilated space before arranging it indoors. Handle the foliage gently, as individual leaves can come loose if tugged.
