Expandable artificial ivy trellis with white orchid flowers (pair)

Description

A flowering finish for an old trellis

White flowers can make a green screen feel a little lighter and more decorative. This pair of Zankeox panels combines ivy-style foliage with small white orchid-style blooms, carried on expandable plastic lattice frames. They are a useful possibility for brightening an existing trellis, dressing a balcony corner or adding a leafy feature to a covered seating area.

Two green-and-white panels are supplied. Other colour and pack choices are available for coordinating a larger display. The white flowers keep this pair light and fresh, with enough contrast to stand out against the leaves. You get the decorative effect immediately, without waiting for a climber to grow into the space.

Understanding the expandable measurements

The size is worth looking at carefully before you plan your project. Each panel measures approximately 40 x 20cm when folded and 28 x 200cm when extended. As you pull the trellis wider, it becomes lower, so the maximum length does not also give you the greatest height.

That makes it helpful for a narrow strip of decoration or an adjustable feature, rather than a fixed full-height hedge panel. You can use the lattice horizontally or vertically and stop at a shape that suits your support. The spacing of the foliage will also change as the frame opens, so arrange it in position before fastening it permanently.

Freshen up a trellis or covered seating area

A customer with the white-flowered pair used it to refresh an old trellis and was pleased with the extra privacy as well as the brighter appearance. Another buyer reviewing the four-piece option covered ageing wooden trellis beside a patio and liked the finished effect. These are examples of foliage being used to dress an existing structure, which is where this style of screen makes most sense.

The five-star customer photograph in the gallery shows a more decorative arrangement, with the greenery used alongside hanging paper lanterns beneath a covered roof. The lanterns and surrounding decorations are the customer’s additions and are not supplied with the panels. It is a lovely example of using the flowers as part of a display rather than only as fence screening.

Appearance, care and fitting

The frame is plastic rather than a wooden expanding trellis. Attach it with appropriate ties, wire, hooks or other suitable fixings. It has a UV-resistant finish and is suitable for indoor or outdoor decoration, and dusty leaves can be wiped with a damp cloth.

The flowers and leaves make the strongest impression as part of a finished display, rather than under close inspection. A customer liked the appearance from a distance but found it noticeably artificial nearby. Think about where the panels will be seen from, and use the greenery to frame a seating area or soften a boundary without expecting the detail of living foliage.

For a lightly used decorative spot, the adjustable shape and white flowers are the main attractions. Position the panels securely, avoid overstretching the effect you want, and check the foliage after fitting. There are no lights included.
