Rich red and purple violet artificial hanging basket (30cm)

Description

A bold basket can make all the difference against a plain garden wall. This Hynbasea arrangement mixes purple flowers with a vivid red that leans towards cerise, tucked among fresh green leaves. The little blooms spread out over a traditional coir-lined wire basket, leaving enough of the brown liner showing to give it that familiar planted-basket look.

This is the red and purple version, supplied as one basket with flowers to arrange yourself. If you enjoy deciding where each stem should sit, there is something rather pleasing about making the display your own. You can build up colour at the front, turn a few flowers towards a favourite window, or distribute them evenly when the basket will be seen from several sides.

A basket you can arrange your way

The kit includes the basket, artificial violet flowers, plastic grass, foam and instructions. Spread out the flower bundles before inserting them into the base, then step back occasionally to see how the overall shape is developing. The grass helps fill the spaces between the flowering stems.

Several customers found assembly straightforward and quick. One particularly enjoyed having control over the arrangement, while another was disappointed because they had expected it to arrive already made up. It is worth allowing a little time for shaping: an owner who loved the finished basket still found that matching the very full promotional photograph took some effort.

Practical proportions for a doorway or patio

The basket itself is approximately 30cm across, or 12 inches. The overall dimensions are 30cm wide by 58cm high, although the flowers’ final spread depends on how you position the stems. It weighs around 1kg. A hanging chain and top hook are part of the design, ready for a suitable secure support.

The red and purple colour scheme has plenty of presence against brickwork, pale render or a timber fence. The five-star customer photograph in the gallery shows the selected colour outdoors, where the contrast between the bright flowers, green foliage and natural-looking liner is easy to judge. Other colour options are available.

What owners have noticed

Positive reviews often mention the lively colours and convincing appearance when viewed from a little distance. One customer reported that their flowers had kept their colour over two seasons. Another noted that the leaves looked more obviously artificial close up, and a few wanted extra stems for a denser finish. Those comments are useful if you prefer a particularly full display.

There are practical observations too. One buyer noticed a strong plastic smell on opening, while another recommended checking that stems were firmly inserted after finding that flower heads could loosen in strong wind. Choose a sheltered position where possible and check the arrangement occasionally, especially after blustery weather.

Flowers without the daily watering

The basket is intended for indoor or outdoor decoration and has no lights or electrical parts. Gentle dusting and an occasional tidy of the stems are the main jobs. It is a cheerful option for a spot where watering a living basket would be awkward, or simply for keeping colour by the door when you are away.
