With broad, curving petals and slender buds tucked amongst the leaves, these lilies make a handsome focal point in a room. The champagne-white flowers have delicate pink shading, fine speckling and yellow centres, giving them more depth than a plain white bloom. They suit a tall vase on a sideboard or a hallway table where you can appreciate the shape of the open flowers.

The pack contains four individual stems. Each carries two open lilies, one bud and four leaves, giving you eight open flowers and four buds in total. The combination keeps the display from looking too uniform: the buds rise between the larger blooms, while the green leaves fill out the lower part of the arrangement.

Check your vase against the full stem length

Each stem is approximately 60cm long, and the open flowers measure around 15cm across. That makes these a substantial choice for a tabletop display. A vase with enough height to support the stems will help keep the flowers balanced, but leave plenty of the flowering section above the rim so the lower blooms are not hidden.

The stems can be bent or trimmed to suit your design. If you enjoy changing your displays, bend the excess length inside an opaque vase before cutting anything away. On unpacking, gently straighten the stems and ease the flowers and leaves into position. Turn the stems individually, placing some flowers towards the front and others at an angle, so the buds and leaves remain visible.
