Description

Red berries, snowy branch tips and little frosted pinecones give this DoHome tree a winter woodland feel. Then the multicolour lights come on and the mood becomes wonderfully festive. It is a small tree with enough detail to enjoy close up, whether you put it beside a favourite chair or on a windowsill where the lights can shine into the evening.

This is the medium version, approximately 52cm tall. The hessian-wrapped base gives it a simple, rustic finish that works well with its pinecones and berries.

Snowy greenery with colour tucked inside

The tree has 70 snow-frosted branches, six berry decorations and six frosted pinecones. Its plastic foliage combines the shape of the branches with a snowy finish, so it already looks dressed before you add anything of your own. Open the branches gently after unpacking, turning the pot as you go to create an even outline.

Some customers mention a little loose snow during unpacking. It is sensible to shape the tree over its packaging first, then move it to the table once you are happy with the branches. A small amount of initial tidying is easier there than among the other decorations in a finished display.

A little pool of colourful light

Thirty fitted LEDs add colour among the greenery. They run on three AA batteries, which are not included, giving you more freedom over placement than a mains lead would. Keep the battery box accessible so you can switch the display off and replace the batteries without lifting the whole arrangement apart.

Customer feedback on this size describes both steady and flashing settings. The battery compartment fastening has also been described as rather fiddly, so open it gently and follow the supplied instructions. With the lights on, the white tips catch the colour and make the little tree feel especially cheerful after dark.

Pretty on its own or with a few personal touches

For an outdoor position, choose a sheltered spot and follow the supplied guidance for the battery box and lights; do not assume the electrical parts can sit exposed to heavy rain. Indoors, it is an easy size for a side table, hallway shelf or small festive centrepiece. Leave space around the base and keep it away from candles or other sources of heat. Remove the batteries before storing it after Christmas.
